With its medium-strength sweet, lemony-fresh aroma with a top-middle fragrance note, the citronella essential oil is used to uplift the mood and fight stress and fatigue. It is also used to speed up wound healing and treat parasitic infections. Additionally, citronella essential oil also commonly serves as an insect repellent, which may be through diffusing into the air or applying topically to deter insects.
